Extractor fan with overrun only

Extractor fan with overrun only

Connection with 3 Wires

Preparation:
neutral conductor N – blue
phase L – usually black or brown
phase LT – usually black or brown

Connection:
The phase L is without a switch and always conducting.
The phase LT is with a switch and conducts if the switch is closed. When the switch gets closed, the fan starts to work.
The neutral conductor gets connected to the point N of the fan.

Explanation:
The
fan starts when the switch gets closed (phase LT). As long as the
switch is closed the fan is working. After opening the switch, the fan
changes into the overrun-mode (timer). After the adjusted time the fan
stops working automatically.

You also need a small piece of wire

Connection:

With
the small piece of wire you connect L and LT, then you connect LT with
the phase. The phase LT is with a switch and conducts if the switch is
closed. When the switch gets closed, the fan starts to work.
The neutral conductor gets connected to the point N of the fan.

Explanation:
The
fan starts when the switch gets closed (phase LT). As long as the
switch is closed the fan is working. After opening the switch, the fan
stops directly.
